  November 1, 2008 - Very strong nose of licorice, raspberry, tar, and a little woodsmoke. Flavors echo in the mouth, with menthol and mint notes. A little tannin peaks out. Not as rich and powerful as the 1998 or 2001, but a very nice wine, elegant, and pleasure to drink.
