June 10, 2020 - The fill was into the neck and the cork was pristine; double decanted 1.5 hours before dinner. Threw a healthy amount of sediment. Deep garnet, with notes of dried plums, campfire, roasted fennel, and black truffle. Medium bodied, silky tannins, impressive depth, great balance, and a long and complex finish. Drinking wonderfully at present; I suspect this is fully mature, but will remain at this plateau for at least another 10 years.
