June 17, 2020 - Too young to have opened this (I hope). At the moment it has such massive acidity that it really dominates. It did improve a bit with air - and I already decanted this for 4 hours before the first glass - but it just didn’t give enough joy. Red fruit profile and very fresh but not yet any tertiary flavours and everything is washed away by the acid at the moment. Quite disappointing. My first of 6 bottles and will leave them 5 years before trying the next and hope for better balance. Anyone else reading this I would strong advise you don’t open it yet.

6/17/20, 7:07 PM - Quite disappointing, but 88 pts? Is this a score on potential, or really that good now? I've been dissapointed as well.

6/18/20, 2:28 PM - That’s a fair question and I debated 87 or 88. I do think 88 is fair. The wine still has its charms and the purity of fruit was lovely. And as I said it did actually improve a little. 88 is a fairly low score anyway, especially at this level. But yes seriously disappointing. Do you think this could improve with time or is this level of acidity pretty much permanent?
