May 16, 2020 - Decanted for 2 hours. Condensed nose, and so as the palate with raspberry, wood, smoke and shows some complexity. Long finishing. Powerful wine, and it's quite ready to drink now.

To me, 2005 is a great vintage, and my experience told me that it's not always ready to drink even 15-years passed (year 2020). My experience with this Pichon Lalande 2005 was good as I already enjoy it now. Worth waiting for a few years? Sure I think so but I am happy to have it now..

6/22/20, 6:09 PM - '05 was a pretty good BDX vintage but this Lalande has always been considered and underperformer in all the '05s. I liked it 3 years ago more than any other vintage they served us, bought it and am still enjoying it. Like you, I'm not sure it gets any better with more time. Cheers!
