  July 24, 2020 - Deep garnet color turning amber crimson at the rim with a transparent edge. The nose is really perfumed with smoky orange peel and wet carton highlights on black fruits. The palate is full-bodied, ripe, but vibrant in acidity that is able to balance the elevated alcohol levels. Flavors of blueberry, blackberry, plum, dark chocolate, scorched meat and saddle leather. This is perhaps the best I’ve tasted from this producer. It’s modern in style, but the earth and acidity keep it in check. Finishes long on hints of dried herbs and white pepper. Drink now until 2040.
