August 1, 2020 - This bottle has been cellared at Las Cases until 2016, and it was recorked before shipping. Perfect fill and dark brick red color. The scent is classic west side Bordeaux, almost all anticipated markers checked in. Blackcurrant, blueberry, cedar, tobacco, pencil lead, leather, coffee, toast, forest floor. Fruit on the cool side of the spectrum, high concentration, integrated tannins, extremely long. Greatly balanced wine. This drinks magically now, but no hurry to run down in the basement to pop your bottles. These will last a long long time. Las Cases confirmes one more time that it's wines are made to last for generations.
