  September 8, 2020 - Full bodied, unique styling. Nose is dark berry compote, volcanic soil, pepper, grass, alongside something nameless but unmistakeable that a few Milton-Freewater producers often have -- like a burnt roasted berry marshmallow. Palate is on the pumice and scorched-earth end of Syrah with fresh bramble, blueberry, cabbage, plenty of "funk" but more like stones and aged leather rather than brett and farm.
  
  The length, balance, elevating acidic freshness, and lucious mouthfeel push it into rare air. Good value.
