October 24, 2020 - Decanted for 4 hours. Deep ruby. Exuberant black cherry and a tad of tobacco. Full and lush for Nebbiolo with some alcohol showing through. Ripe dark red fruit, anise, and a good dose of soil. Fun and very good, but it's just too warm, big, and boisterous for proper Barbaresco.

10/25/20, 3:28 PM - THANK you for your diligent logging of the '11's progression! :) Having read all 5 of your TNs for this vintage, do you have any recommendations for how to pair it @ the table?

10/25/20, 3:56 PM - srh-Last night, this wine was a good, gutsy complement to both a spicy Sardinian seafood pasta dish and olive-encrusted lamb chops.

10/25/20, 5:11 PM - I *quite* appreciate you having taken the time to respond, drwine2001, particularly with your description of it as gutsy, something I would not otherwise have considered! :) [I'm cellaring but 1 of these, the only other Produttori "regular" I've tried having been the '16 (2x), + I've virtually NO experience matching up Barolos/Barbaresos with meals.]
