November 8, 2020 - High Steaks Saturday: Rich, lively, well balanced. Thoroughly enjoyable - and an incredible bargain at a supermarket 25% off offer. Enjoyed while using the deep fat fryer in the garden in very low light. Pleased to report that no injuries were sustained.

The Veuve 2012 was down to the same price last week, but I missed my chance. Given the COVID situation, I think we're in for some big discounting in the run up to Xmas.

11/8/20, 8:13 AM - Sainsburys. I had some Veuve 08 at that price earlier in the year - also from Sainsburys IIRC. For drinking now I think I prefer the 12 Moet.

When I worked at Majestic back in the summer of 2016, we were getting Moet 2006 at £22.49 a bottle on staff! My only regret is that I didn't buy more.
