December 2, 2020 - Tasted blind. Dark garnet color turning tawny crimson at the rim with a reflective edge. The nose gives off smoky notes of dark berries, espresso and dried herbs. The palate is medium-to-full-bodied with vibrant acidity that carries the plum, raspberry and dark cherry with secondary notes of tobacco, leather, terracotta pots, rusted pipes, and cola on the toasted oak. Finishes long and grippy with a persistent mentholated feel. Drink now until 2035.
