April 12, 2021 - Easy drinking, fun wine, but not plain. Aromatics were interesting, very fruit driven, but with a touch of minerality and spice. Good length. Versatile with food.
Not sure this is meant to be kept. After some disastrous experience with a case of 2015s, I‘ll earmark these for early drinking.

Lapierre's wine age really quite well and I have had 2012 and 2014 just recently and they were lovely wines. Not sure where 2019 falls in terms of long term aging but 2015 was really a poor year.

4/14/21, 4:19 AM - Thank you Rich for the perspective on 2015, maybe I‘ll keep some of the 2019 on the side. I also still have some 2011 that continuous to drink very well. My merchant however was of the opinion that the Lapierre wines are less and less for keeping, but more and more for early drinking, with elevage being shortened and more grapes being purchased because of the great demand. At least most seem to agree that they are safe bets in their youth.
