December 31, 2008 - Light ruby with some amber bricking in the glass. Nice nose of currant, anise, slate and pepper. Well made and built for the long haul. The palate is blackberries, currant, cranberries, cinnamon, wet stone and pepper spice. Long finish and solid tannin structure. Give it a good decant, it's a bit hot and un-ripe out of the bottle. Nice complexity and intersting spice which I don't normally associate with Barolo.
