May 21, 2021 - This just keeps getting better and without doubt is the best Sociando-Mallet drinking and possibly the best of all time from the estate. The hot vintage really suited it and took away the rougher rustic edges usually associated with the wine. The nose is deeply fruited with red cherry, blackcurrant, and plum. The tannin does remind you what you are drinking, but it is perfectly integrated with the fruit. The finish is excellent and gently nudges past the 30 seconds point with perfect balance and depth. I find it difficult to find a better value wine in the market at present with probably at least another decade at this level ahead of it. 94+
