June 22, 2021 - Striking gold color in the glass. Peaches, pineapple, creme brulee, honeycomb and a distinctly earthy/savory character on the nose. Shows as moderately concentrated, with excellent fresh acidity, nice layering and a really interesting mix of citrus and earthy flavors in addition to hints of oak. Definitely strikes a high end note with the quality of fruit plus overall refinement and tannin integration. Unique in its overall complexity. Still shows significant structure and a long finish. This will likely continue to age very well for another 5+ years. I suggest drinking it a bit warmer than your average chard to bring out the flavors.

The style here reminds me of a restrained version of Aubert. Big time complexity, some oak to resolve and exceptional overall quality. A little more lithe in its presentation. Very good.
