July 17, 2021 - On opening there was a lot of Brett aroma. Consistent across 5 bottles. The funk largely blew off over 6 hours of slow ox. What was left has the standard Pessac-Léognan flavors, black and red fruit, smoky-earth and a realtivly high acidity. Overall it improved and went well with food. This was a bit thin in the middle and short on the finish so not rated as outstanding. I think this is advance in age due to the Brett? Other reviews show about a 50% chance you have a Brett laced bottle. I wonder what the clean bottles taste like?
