August 9, 2021 - Last consumed a few years ago, this has developed nicely. Purchased at Langhe Nebbiolo prices, and better than many of those. Beautiful pale ruby colour with highlights of garnet and orange. Nose is floral. Now, I tried this out of a generic white wine, generic red wine and a Burgundy glass. In the white wine glass this was all sweet red fruits, cherries, cranberry. In the Burgundy glass, the fruit was a little more sour cherry, cranberry more prominent, rhubarb, but the finish became very mineral and interesting. The generic red wine glass gave something between the two, and probably not as good as either. The palate itself is rich and flavorful, with a texture more sense than expected. Really enjoyed this. Not a 90s wine, but enjoyable.
