August 15, 2021 - I expect this will get much better in 2 - 4 years, nose reveals promise of cherry-oak staves, but palate just a bit too dusty, bitter, and tight/tannic covering up the red fruits and lurking vanilla-pepper spice. Decanted twice and drunk over 3 nights so suspect/hope it's simply hibernating and not ready for prime time given the bottle from ~3 years ago was delightful.
