  October 8, 2021 - I’m yet to buy into the hype of this vintage.
  This was my second bottle and still didn’t wow me as it has some of the reviewers.
  Double Decanted seven hours earlier. Despite this I still think it needs more breathing time because it still didn’t come across as fully open. An initial whack of vanilla oak is followed by red fruit notes with a slightly austere finish. It showed signs of improvement as we got towards the end of the bottle having spent some time in the glass.
  Next bottle I’ll try decanting for longer or holding on to the rest of the case for a few more years in the cellar

  10/11/21, 1:24 AM - I’d say to just give it more time. I’m really enjoying my 2008 bottles now. It wouldn’t be surprising if the 2010 needed the same or longer to get into it’s stride.

  10/11/21, 1:41 AM - Yeah, I figure that’s the case but there seem to be so many reviews on CT that rave about it already.
  Different palates I guess or possible bottle variance.... it should come good

  10/11/21, 9:59 AM - I have had 3 of these so far and have experienced some bottle variation. One was meh, one was good, and one was great. Going to sleep on the rest and check in again in a few years.

  11/24/21, 9:23 AM - Having consumed most of the 2001s too early, I later realised, I decided not to touch the 2010s for another 3-4 years. They do last a long time (though I think the last of 2001s is past peak, but not too far down the other side on the day of opening. It's time to (re)start drinking the 904, 2001s.
