  October 20, 2021 - Very dark ruby color with no fading or sediment. Profound blackberry, plum, roses, tobacco, light vanilla and moderate oak notes. Still bold, but softening some over the past couple years to allow just a hint of the tertiary character yet to come to show itself. The frame of acidity and tannins is fine and integrated, the alcohol is noticeable but fairly quiet. This was a great compliment to a fantastic Wagyu Filet Mignon, where I really didn't want the wine to be the focus of the meal. A great match.

  10/20/21, 5:49 PM - I drank all of my 6 bottles to early. WA wines need a lot of bottle time in my experience. Just bought some 2013’s that are not ready. Lesson learned.
