November 5, 2021 - Maraschino cherry, raspberry, rosewater, a little mint and mushrooms. Fresh and lively, easygoing, this is shaping up nicely.

11/6/21, 8:00 AM - Hi! Was curious if you had a view for drinking windows on this wine? Think it is peak drinking now or a couple years down the road?

11/6/21, 8:06 AM - It is opening up nicely. Hard to say what the "peak" drinking window will be for this one, as the fruit is so exuberant right now, and one could argue that it will not get better. It will probably still be a really interesting in wine in 10 years, but that fruitiness will have changed, and some may see that for the better but others will have preferred it young. Hard to say when you should drink it, but if you have a more than one bottle I would drink one in the next few months. I'll torture myself about saving my last two bottles, but I'll try to keep one for beyond 5 years from now.

11/6/21, 10:39 AM - Thanks. Picked up a case of it. Given Pelaverga could go 6-7 years post vintage date, I was thinking this should be able to do at least the same; so I was thinking optional drink window would maybe be 2022-2025 (3-6YRs post vintage). I emailed Fabio to ask

11/6/21, 11:01 AM - Lucky you! Try one soon, but since you have many more to open, I would definitely recommend saving a few for 5+ years from now. It's possible it will be quite a bit better with extended aging in bottle. Only one way to find out!
