November 12, 2021 - Decanted for four hours. Cherry liqueur, dark raspberries, dark earth, hope chest, walnut shell and crumbling rock. Absolutely perfect with no edges. I love the depth and persona, with the utmost of elegance. The finish will not quit. The body is full, but not extracted at all. So pure and fine. An aftertaste that is utterly addicting. True red mineral accents. Truly epic on all levels and equal to the legendary ‘17. Really? Yes!! Drink 2026 -.

    4/20/23, 4:15 PM - Hi Matt,

I see you have been a fan of NoK. I just got allocated 2020 NoK. I have been a fan of SQN labels from 2013+. (2018 Ziehharmonika syrah is my favorite syrah). I'm wondering what is the x-factor or differentiator to buy NoK over SQN syrahs. Wondering how NoK different from Alban Seymour / Lorraine as they all aged for 3.5 years in barrels.

    Thanks, RW

Where as the regular SQN Syrahs are a combination of vineyard sources and mostly Syrah. The EBA is all from the Santa Rita Hills. The NoK being from Oak View is its own beast!

Thanks for the info. It's sounds like it may worth 30% premium over SQN to try some.

    Regards, RW
