At its peak, showed a lot of tart fruit, tart cherry, tart plum with lots of minerals. Not sure if this was grown on volcanic soil but it gave that sense. Loads of dark minerals, some leather, nutmeg, pepper. Fruit became increasingly warm-bodied and big, yet this always had a definite sense of dryness that at times came off as bitter. Not a lot of new oak presence on this.
