December 31, 2021 - Very tight just after opening. A couple of hours in a carafe helps, and a rather generous aroma of red cherries is showing up. I also find raspberries and violets, but in terms of aroma this bottle remains guite introvert and shy. The palate, however, is a different story, and it brings to mind greater optimism on behalf of the vintage. A delicious velvety mouthfeel, crisp fruit, medium plus concentration and great acidity. Good length. A fairly compact village with dense fruit. This will need cellar time. An energetic wine with all components present, they just need time to fall into place. And with time this will evolve into a brilliant village. My remaining bottles will be left in the cellar for at least 5 years.
