  April 7, 2022 - Mahogany edged dark cored wine. The bouquet is transitioning from primary and secondary aromas such as blueberries, dark cherries, blackcurrant charcoal and cafe au lait to aged mushroom and iodine scents. I tasted this one year ago and there were no aged characteristics then.It has an extroverted masculine nature which it shares with its neighbour Mouton Rothschild and has Pauillac pencil shavings. Slightly flabby, lacking in acid, but full bodied, balanced and almost soup like in consistency. Very firm tannins that linger in the mouth. Drunk at 15 deg C. Riedel Bordeaux glasses. Best after 1/2 hour. Estimated drinking window 2022-2070. A solid Pauillac. NS
