April 17, 2022 - What a masterful and gorgeous drink this is ! Now of course I may show some bias as I always enjoy Knights Valley wines and my palate tends to really appreciate CF blends more so than CS blends. I just feel the Cabernet franc variety brings greater interest, nuance, austerity, and complexity to the table when properly crafted.

Removed from a 56 active and poured to a wide bowl for 75 minutes. Enchanting nose of violets, iris, dark flowers, menthol, and blueberry paste. Still some rough tannin after the aeration, but nothing overly coarse or concerning at this young age.

Medium bodied on the palate with an explosion of dark cherry, blueberry, and baking spice. A definitive vein of salinity that I love so much kept the wine precise and interesting. Nice lingering finish.... I would classify this as a contemplative wine that would pair with a great variety of dishes.

Let this rest for 3-5 years and you will be amply rewarded !
