  March 21, 2009 - Good wine, but totally outclassed in the company of the 97 Fuligni we drank alongside it. This showed darker, and presented a sweeter/riper profile, along with a distracting vanillin component to the nose that for me unbalanced the wine. Still, mostly enjoyable, and have fond memories of buying this sole bottle on release at the ridiculous price of $14 from a store that didn't know what they were selling. One of my first Brunello purchases.
