Introduction

The Saturdays at One group got together for a little mid-week French QPR kind of a tasting. For some strange reason we threw in a very young Saxum in there as a bonus wine. Go figure. Here are the results:

15.&% alcohol. Opened and double decanted through a vinturi before serving. Dark garnet to purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of sandlewood, cassis, Kirsch, florals, blueberries, cocoa and talc. Lots happening here. Flavors of black berries, Bing cherries, dark chocolate and black licorice. Medium acidity, firm to very firm tannins, full bodied. Hold. No rating at this time but I'm guessing good to very good here. Just needs more time in the bottle.
