White
2001 Stony Hill Chardonnay USA, California, Napa Valley
-- popped and poured --
-- tasted non-blind over a couple hours --

NOSE: initial hint of sour milk; otherwise typical chard nose; not oaky.

BODY: light golden yellow color; medium-light bodied.

TASTE: great balance; good acid; nice minerality; medium richness; delicate; 13% alc.; no signs of oxidation; this is kickin' around just fine right now -- seems like it has many years left in it. Gut impression score: low 90's
White - Off-dry
2004 Vinoptima Gewürztraminer Reserve New Zealand, North Island, Gisborne, Ormond
Medium golden yellow color with a slight tan hue throughout. Nose is rich with botyrtyis spice, honey and dried apricots. Medium-full bodied on the palate with flavors reflecting the aromas of the nose. Very rich with adequate acid. I liked this a lot. 14.5% alc.
