Not sure what all this is cracked up to be. Not a whole lot of nose and virtually no finish. Had a good and interesting mid-palate. Good, but not great.

2006 Rhys Pinot Noir Alpine Vineyard

A little high on acidity right now. Improved with some air. Got the components for a great wine and an improved score -- let's hope some time brings everything together.

2005 Papapietro Perry Pinot Noir Leras Family Vineyards

A little green on the palate. A very light and thin for a california wine -- not that that's a bad thing!

Nice and well rounded. Not as much fruit as there could be to make this even better. We'll see if it improves any with age.
