Red
2000 Château Grand Mayne France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru
91 points
Leather, mokka, bread-crust, autumn flavors, curry-leaves.
Red
2001 Giuseppe Quintarelli Valpolicella Classico Superiore Italy, Veneto, Valpolicella, Valpolicella Classico Superiore
87 points
I was sure that I would like this better, just given how I love the 1994. Don't get me wrong, this was still good...
Brown color, very sweet, artificial sweetener, quince, cider, rather light in the palate, dense acidity, needs a lot of air...

Flight 2 (3 notes)

White - Off-dry
2002 Weingut Robert Weil Kiedricher Gräfenberg Riesling Auslese Germany, Rheingau
91 points
Apricot, curry powder, saffron, a bit short in the palate but gains with air
White - Sweet/Dessert
2001 Château Rieussec France, Bordeaux, Sauternais, Sauternes
94 points
Asia Food, uncooked risotto, quince, a bit acetate, tons of botrytis, almonds, very very very long finish. Needs air and time but is already great now!
White - Sweet/Dessert
2001 Feiler-Artinger Pinot Cuvée Ruster Ausbruch Austria, Burgenland, Neusiedlersee-Hügelland
92 points
Asian exotic fruits and floral in the nose, very fat and dense, long finish but gets a bit beaten down by the Rieussec just before.
