Flight 1 (6 notes)

White
2011 Patrick Piuze Petit Chablis France, Burgundy, Chablis, Petit Chablis
Reminded me of Muscadet on the nose. Incredibly textural and intense for Petit Chablis. Impressive.
White
2010 Domaine de la Tournelle Arbois Fleur de Savagnin France, Jura, Arbois
Full yellow. Some nuttiness but not overt oxidation. Medium to full bodied, some citrus, tremendous acidity and long, saline finish. Like a very fresh fino. Good. Idiosyncratic but more to my taste than most Jura wine.
Rosé
2011 Denis Jamain Pinot Gris Reuilly Rosé France, Loire Valley, Upper Loire, Reuilly
Pale pink. Floral yet very dry and serious on the palate. Good.
Rosé
2011 Domaine Vacheron Sancerre Rosé France, Loire Valley, Upper Loire, Sancerre
Light pink. Some red fruit aromas. Exceedingly delicate and dry. Very Pinot. Excellent rose.
Red
2010 Domaine Vacheron Sancerre Rouge France, Loire Valley, Upper Loire, Sancerre Rouge
Light medium ruby. Light weight, licorice, earthy. Typical and good.
Red
2009 Eric Texier Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Medium ruby. Herbs and alcohol. Some sense of elegance in the mouth and the alcohol is not as prominent. Nice spice.
