Community Tasting Notes 8

January 13, 2017 - Opened unexpectedly by my wife for a friend to have a glass of wine thinking it wasn't anything special. Got home to see it... and well enjoyed a glass with them. Quite ready and integrated and silky tannins, touch rusticity, but overall a very nice fruit profile. Nothing on the ripe side but nothing on the green side either. Just very fresh berry fruit along with acidity and earthy elements. Was very good.

April 9, 2014 - excellent CdP wine. first time my buddy and i had a CdP. paired with caramelised roast pork from nearby shop. wine had gentle purple ink on the pour. intense fragance of blue berries and prunes. mid palate taste was juicy black fruit core. tasted like ribena! and little hint of alcohol. lingering complex finish. we probably drank it 5 - 10 years too young but it was a good time.

July 13, 2012 - Bastille Day Warm Up (Dig Wines, San Francisco): Medium ruby. Herbs and alcohol. Some sense of elegance in the mouth and the alcohol is not as prominent. Nice spice.

May 20, 2012 - Intense red and dark berry nose with bright raspberry bush, herbs, meat and nice juniper-like aroma.
Surprisingly lightbodied for the appellation with refreshing acidity and slight tannic grip. Tart berries, liquorice, leaves and leather. Good length.
Very nice stuff indeed! But do watch out, if you're lookin for conventional CdP-typicity. @Tintå
