Introduction

Dinner with Michael and Megan

Flight 1 (5 notes)

Rosé - Sparkling
1999 Pol Roger Champagne Brut Rosé France, Champagne
89 points
No formal notes. Nice complexity with air and a pretty decent rose. Not nearly as good as the 2000 but a nice bottle nonetheless. Could improve with a few more years. Very good. 89+
White
2007 Nik Weis / St. Urbans-Hof Ockfener Bockstein Riesling Kabinett Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer
90 points
Consistent with previous note. Excellent.
Red
2008 Patricia Green Cellars Pinot Noir Balcombe Vineyard Dundee Hills USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Dundee Hills
90 points
No formal notes. Already showing signs of development with nice pinot fruit and hints of secondary notes. Based on this bottle i don't see this being a longterm ager but should be a nice drink over the next few years. Excellent.

Red
2008 Le Vieux Pin Pinot Noir Adieu Canada, British Columbia, Okanagan Valley
89 points
No formal notes. This was quite nice. A touch of roasted notes but they are subtle. Drink now and for another few years. Very good.
Red
2006 Domaine Saint Préfert Châteauneuf-du-Pape Réserve Auguste Favier France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
No formal notes. Decent, but still roasted, modern and warm. I liked this a lot more a few years ago. CdP just doesn't do it for me anymore.
