White - Sparkling
2010 Cave Mont Blanc de Morgex et La Salle Blanc de Morgex et de la Salle Extrème Metodo Classico Italy, Valle d'Aosta, Blanc de Morgex et de la Salle
My 1st Prie Blanc ever. Surprising nose, almost medicinal (supo). Sweet apple. A touch of RS. Not really complex but fun.

White
2012 Filippi Soave Castelcerino Colli Scaligeri Italy, Veneto, Soave
Stone fruits (peach, apricot) with a touch of oxidation. Surprisingly it feels like there's a touch of heat. Bitter notes on the finish. Round.
I'd like to try another vintage to better understand the wine.
White
2011 Királyudvar Furmint Tokaji Sec Hungary, Tokaji
A little bit of mint/herbal notes on the nose. Round, almost tropical fruits with lemon on the palate but still very fresh. Rounder than 2010 but maybe it just needs a little more time.
Red
2004 Petterino Gattinara Italy, Piedmont, Northern Piedmont, Gattinara
Surprising nose, quite medicinal at first (resin/sap) but gets more focused with air. Palate shows beautiful floral notes with red cherry. Still tannic with a very light bitterness on the finish. A food wine.
Very good.
Red
2009 Domaine du Cret de Ruyere Morgon Les Charmes France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Morgon
Some VA with dark fruits and milk chocolate. Very ripe. Some mint.
Finish is not very clean with that dog paws/tortilla flavor.
Disappointing.
Red
2011 Wind Gap Wines Pinot Noir USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast
Ripe with a touch of oak. Round. Hint of pickle on the nose with is actually nice. Palate is more forward. Hard to see anything "pinoter" here.
I much prefer their very good syrah to this pinot.
Red
2011 Domaine Jean David Côtes du Rhône Villages Séguret Cuvée Beau Nez France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Côtes du Rhône Villages Séguret
It's big and with 15% indicated would seemed alcoholic. But while this is a rich and big Cotes du Rhone, there's no heat sensation. Almost liqueur like nose. Plump, rich red/dark fruits, it is still digest. Fruit driven. Would work better with the appropriate food.No sulfur.
