Red
1991 Harlan Estate USA, California, Napa Valley
98 points
from magnum. 1hr in decanter. amazing towering nose. total knock out. is it Lafleur or Le Pin?? admittedly palate didn't live up to expectation from nose, but still it's scarlette johansson in a glass - totally irresistible.
Red
1991 Dominus Estate Napanook Vineyard USA, California, Napa Valley
100 points
from magnum. 1hr in decanter. great contrast to Harlan. this is straight from the textbook. pretty much perfect in every way: balance, structure, length, sweetness. I thought it was 82 Latour, it could have been any 82 first growth, or better. I know which I'll be buying from now on!

Red
1975 Château La Mission Haut-Brion France, Bordeaux, Graves, Pessac-Léognan
92 points
from magnum. opened for 2hrs, decanted right before serving. initial funky medeirised nose. prob less than perfect bottle. lacks usual depth n richness. becoming better later on but overall disappointing.
Red
1975 Pétrus France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Pomerol
95 points
from magnum. opened for 2hrs, decanted right before serving. an excellent wine no doubt. more rustic and less opulent in style than other vintages. still a wonderful treat.
