A really nice combination of pears, apples and acidity. Loved the acidity on the palate and the richness of the fruit. Great combination, and I thought this was quite nice.

I wasn't down on this wine as much as my friends were. The color was nearly clear (a lot different than other vintages I've tried) but it still had a nice, funky, aromatic profile. The palate was ripe with a hair less acidity than past years. Despite its ripeness, it still had really nice balance.

Strawberries, cranberries, and cherries on the nose. The palate was super exciting to me. The red fruits were joined by some light plum and lots of acidity. Would be perfect with burgers in the summer.

A lot of 2007s of late have been in a good drinking spot, but I think this needs more time to open up. You could tell that there's really nice material here and that with 2-3 years it'll become quite nice. Right now, there's some nice berry and floral notes but not a ton more. 90 pts on potential.

Brought this blind to a small dinner after decanting it for 2.5 hours. Great combination of berries, spice, florals, and earth. At this point in its evolution, it was a bit of the sweet side but I think that with some more time, there's nothing holding this back from becoming even better. But the price...

This is why I collect Northern Rhone syrah. The combination of rustic, earthy notes with concentrated fruit and great acidity. This was just about the total package in my opinion. Lots of meaty notes on the nose with exotic floral and earth tones mixed in. The palate was rich, concentrated and perfectly balanced. Lovely stuff.

Liked this quite a bit. Nice nutty, earthy, red-fruited aromas with airy but powerful. The palate was in a great place. Still retains a nice structure, with great spice notes, smokey nuts, cherries, plum, and earth. Can probably go many years.
