Honey, nutty, lime and shows some florals once it warms up a bit. Good acidity counters the rounded aged honey character. Good length. Drink now-3 years.

The last time I tried this in 2008 I said it really needed time and the time has been very good to it. Mineral, sea spray, musk and lemon - lovely delicate aromas. Good power on the palate, it is still very youthful but that rasping acid has softened slightly to give it better balance. Will still benefit greatly from more ageing, this is on its way up!

Tight and dormant on the nose, a little floral and lime. The palate is better, with really good persistence and with fine acidity. Potential to improve but in a difficult shutdown spot at the moment.

Spice, tropical notes on the nose. Has a fair bit of tropical richness, feeling a little broad toward the end. Okay.

Plenty of interest on the nose, incense spice, lemon, smoke and orange. Good persistence and length, very fine and detailed. Approachable already with some lovely fruit, but also has the structure to age and develop really nicely.

Soapy lemon, smoke and struck match. Strong mineral character on the palate, long with excellent balance and purity of fruit. Obviously needs more time but should be fantastic.

Rose and spice, lime and ginger - medium intensity nose. Has a little splash of residual sugar that works well with slightly spicy food. Has development to it and it is in a good place to drink already - though it should hold for a number of years without necessarily improving.

Fairly expressive for its age with cherry, roses, tar and earth. Medium bodied, there is spice and a strong line of acidity that has softened just slightly enough over the past year to make a good difference.

Tar and ash - pretty tight nose. Plenty of tannin and serious structure. Not approachable at the moment.

Still ruby red coloured. Herb, floral, ash and light chocolate on the nose. Still has the elements of sweet fruit on the palate, the herbs also show up lightly and give it some interest. Really good length. Excellent!

Blueberry, coconut - not very expressive. Sweet palate with plenty of power. Good but not all that interesting. Shown up by the 1994 Lawsons on this night.

56 cases produced. Fresh nose with spice, cherry and lifted floral notes. Good savoury element on the palate with red fruits supporting. Has interest and should also show more complexity in time.

Really good aromatics - pear, candied lemon, mandarin, floral and musk. Good balance, though the sweetness is a little bit the overriding force right now, the acid is there but doesn't quite give it huge spark. Good now, will be much better in 10 years.
