Flight 1 - Grilled green tomatoes and mozzarella with sorrel pesto and tomato jam (1 note)
The grilled green tomato was wonderful, much better than the fried version. The pesto and jam were delicious.

Delicate. Nice starter. Berry, with very slight minerality. Refreshing start on a hot summer night.
Flight 2 - Squid Ink Ravioli with smoked mozzarella squid and crispy speck (1 note)
Best dish of the night. A myriad of flavors but the come together wonderfully

Very nice white blend. Well balanced. You know it is Sauvignon blanc but the Colombad and Gros Manseng ( I haven't heard of it either) create something different and very tasty.
Flight 3 - Butter Poached Halibut with Haricot Vert and Truffle Vinegrette (1 note)
Well done. Truffle was ever so subtle.

Very nice wine. Floral nose. Citrus and tropical fruit with a bit of minerality. Solid offering but nothing special.

Perfectly cooked. The glaze on the onions just perfect with the duck

Very simple Pinot. Nothing memorable either on the good or bad.
Flight 5 - Braised beef short rib with local brown beech mushrooms and baby bulb carrots (1 note)
The short ribs were delicious but the vegetables stole the show.

Good nose. Dark fruit with some spiciness on the palate. In pretty good balance. Not as rustic as one might expect. Went very well with the short ribs.
