Flight 1 (1 note)

White
2012 Jean Marc Gilet Vouvray Sec Domaine de la Rouletière France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray
84 points
Fresh bouquet with pear and herbaceous scents. On the palate the same, good acidity, touch of sweetness and hardly any bitterness. Ok wine.

Flight 2 (2 notes)

White
2013 Domaine Jacob Ladoix Blanc France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Ladoix
88 points
Expressive bouquet with melon, some honey, meadow and some vanilla. On the palate tropical fruits like litchi, medicine, anise, lemon and candy flavors. Firm acidity, some oak and bitterness. Frivolous wine.
White
2008 Roux Père & Fils Puligny-Montrachet France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet
86 points
In the bouquet yellow tropical fruits. On the palate a full bodied wine with yellow fruits and a bit reductive impressions. Tart lemon, almonds, oak and bitterness. Drying in the finish. Overall not really impressive.

Flight 3 (2 notes)

White
2008 Domaine Philippe Delagrange Meursault Les Pelles Dessus France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault
89 points
Beautiful and complex bouquet with yellow tropical fruits and pleasant vanilla. On the palate yellow fruits like pineapple, white fruits, some smoke, minerals and a touch of vanilla. Mild acidity, pleasant bitterness and a good length.
White
2009 Verget Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Sous le Puits France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
90 points
Good citrus and pleasant oak in the bouquet. On the palate good white fruits, mango, banana, tangerine, limestone minerals and good citrus. Beautiful, mouth filling wine.

Flight 4 (2 notes)

Red
2008 Louis Jadot Ladoix Rouge France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Ladoix
85 points
The bouquet has some earthy impressions and harsh cherries and is not really inviting. On the palate unripe red fruits, like raspberries, red currants and cherries. Medium acidity, slightly sticky tannin and some bitterness in the finish. Not really a bad wine, but not very complex and not a great pleasure either.
Red
2006 Domaine Odoul-Coquard Chambolle-Musigny France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny
85 points
In the bouquet harsh cherries, herbs and spices and some earthy and oak impressions. Same on the palate plus some red fruits like strawberries, some sticky tannin. The wine is medium plus bodied, has some minerality as well, but also very firm acidity and bitterness. It goes in all directions and is not really harmonious. There is juiciness and for that reason I still score it 85.

Flight 5 (2 notes)

Red
2005 Jacques Girardin Santenay 1er Cru Beauregard France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Santenay 1er Cru
88 points
Beautiful bouquet with some barnyard which blows off, red and dark berry fruits, minerals and herbs and spices. On the palate red berry fruits, cherries, some earthiness, juicy and pleasant acidity as well as slightly stocky tannin. A nice and harmonious wine, ready now and the next few years.
Red
2010 Huguenot Père & Fils Marsannay France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Marsannay
90 points
Quite complex bouquet with red fruits, earth, iron, smoke and espresso. Same on the palate. Firm and good acidity and pleasant tannin with still a good bite. Harmonious wine. Early maturity now.

Flight 6 (2 notes)

Red
2006 Andre Goichot Volnay 1er Cru Les Mitans France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Volnay 1er Cru
89 points
In the bouquet red fruits, some earth, minerals and rustic impressions. On the palate the same. Juicy fruits, chocolate, mild acidity and melted tannin. Harmonious and at its peak now. Nice wine.
Red
2004 Domaine Christophe Bryczek Morey St. Denis 1er Cru Cuvée du Pape Jean-Paul II France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Morey St. Denis 1er Cru
90 points
Pleasantly stinky bouquet with some barnyard, earth, smoke, toast, plums, tobacco and coffee. On the palate a very tasty wine with the same impressions as well as animals and still some red berry fruits and cherries. Good acidity and soft, but still firm tannin. Maturity stage now and it will probably stay on this level for one or two years.
