Flight 1 (5 notes)

White
1989 Domaine Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Ruchottes France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru

Ripe and intense stone fruit aromas and flavors with sweet spice. Massive concentration and floral, spiced notes throughout. Came across as incredibly Batard-like in terms of its fat and richness.

Ripe apple with lemon custard and lemon peel. Subtle floral start that got more intense with more air, as did the spice. This also picked up weight and length with more time in glass.
Red
1998 Domaine Dujac Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Aux Combottes France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru
flawed
I can't recall ever having this wine before, but tonight's bottle came across as less-than-pristine, seemingly bretty, especially on the nose.
Red
1999 Domaine Dujac Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Aux Combottes France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru

Maturing black and red cherry with plenty of spice, plus plenty of that Dujac whole cluster perfume. Good concentration and length. More fresh than I recall vs when last tasted a few years ago.
White - Sweet/Dessert
2005 Alois Kracher Grande Cuvée TBA #7 Nouvelle Vague Austria, Burgenland, Neusiedlersee
92 points
Dried apricot, baked apple and apple pie spice. Nicely balanced with acidity to cut through the inherent sweetness.
