Contests between lean minerality and tropicality, tipping toward the latter. But still quite balanced and compelling drink.

Some florality, no tropicality (which is how I prefer my Gewurtzes, as that can easily get out of control), but just a touch of unfortunate soapiness. Tolerable.

Less acid this vintage than normal, I'm told. I find this to be a bit flat. Has some varietal character, but it's muted.

This has a touch of more traditional petrol overtones, and a richer profile than the regular dry riesling.

Great nose -- I don't have words for it exactly, but it's very compelling. The palate is lemon zest, mineral, lime juice. More linear than the Reserve Dry, but more expressive.

An electric zing, beautiful fruit, just a touch of florality, but not enough to annoy me as it often does. Rings all of the bells for me.

Huge aromatics. Lavender, even. Big, bright, sweet favors on the palate, but in a daredevil act somehow finishing quite clean. Pretty, and at this price, you just won't find anything this good almost anywhere.

Some petrol, stone fruit, good acid, good balance. This is not a "sweet wine", despite the RS, but instead displays the same balance as a rich Spatlese or a lean Auslese.

A step up in intensity and focus from the Late Harvest cuvee. Huge flavor, great character.
