Double decanted and tasted. Lovely medium ruby with slight bricking appropriate for its age; nose is moderately aromatic, red fruit, some meaty and gamey notes, slight white pepper; palate is medium bodied, superb bright acidity throughout without being shrill, iodine, fresh red berry fruit throughout, medium well integrated tannins, almost elegant texture throughout; medium-length finish. Nose is nice, classic Northern Rhone but somewhat young and reticent, palate overall is very young but well balanced and shows promise. I'm curious what some oxygen will add to the wine. 92-93
6 hours slow ox: highly aromatic nose, much improved, spice, plenty of fruit. Lovely wine, more rustic in structure and style than the Chave Hermitages, but it held its own. Very nice. 93-95
Day 2: held up well without really any significant changes positive or negative.

Corked/TCA. Others thought heat damaged.

With air, this really opened up even more with incredibly aromatic, gamey; palate is wonderful, acidity is superb. 95-98

Medium aromatic nose, some spice; palate is youthful, fresh tart red fruit, medium youthful tannins, medium to medium-plus acid; medium length finish. Lovely balance but needs time to develop more Chave character. 92

Aromatic, pepper spice, youthful red fruit; palate is medium bodied, wonderful medium-plus acidity, plenty of red fruit, nice spice, almost velvety texture; medium-long finish. This is really youthful with a lot of potential. 92-94+

Highly aromatic nose with spice, black pepper, tons of fruit, very nice; high acid, medium bodied, lovely primary red fruit throughout, medium youthful tannins; long finish. This is superb, but a decade too young. 94-97++, easily on the higher side with time.
After an hour: some exotic spice, almost like Vosne-Romanée. This is superb.
