My VG; 92 pts Suckling, 91 ea Vinous & '17 Peñín Guide to Spanish Wine, 90 Guia Repsol, 89 WS, 85 Gilbert & Gaillard, and 13/20 El Mundo Vino. [This vendor's $12.99 is competitive.]

Red
2014 Bodegas Volver Tempranillo La Mancha Single Vineyard Spain, Castilla-La Mancha, La Mancha

P: LM body; NICE, almost swtish frt met by an almost swtish, very, VERY finely tannic pucker which pretty much resolves by the LONG, spicy, tangy/swt finish. 2015 Bodegas Mas Alta Priorat Black Slate La Vilella Alta Spain, Catalunya, Priorat
From importer's pg: "A blend of old and young-vine Grenache & Carignane with a small addition of C.S. ...fermented in tank & aged in FR oak barrels, 30% new."

N: Closed; some berries/earth?

P: Med body; Rndish entry with ALMOST swtish frt met by firming structure which does QUITE resolve by the the LONG, very slightly bitterswt finish. DESERVES into late Summer '18, then drinking for several yrs more. My VG; [This vendor's $16.99 is at LEAST $3 < than any of the other currently limited wine-searcher entries.]

2012 Marqués de Cáceres Rioja Reserva Spain, La Rioja, Rioja
Cf. the CellarTracker Article link [lower lft] to get specific info for this vintage, including acclaim.

N: AM oak melded with berries

P: LM body; NICE frt met by very, VERY finely tannic pucker. The finish is LONG, ult almost swtish with those very, VERY fine tannins. Needs/DESERVES until early '20, I'm guessing. My VG/VG+; [This vendor's $16.99 puts it in the top 20% of a HUGE wine-searcher field.]
Red
2008 La Rioja Alta Rioja Viña Ardanza Reserva Spain, La Rioja, La Rioja Alta, Rioja
13.5% ABV; 1.8 g/l R.S., 6.1 g/l T.A., & 3.56 pH; 80% Tempranillo (aged in 4-year-old AM oak for 36 mos) and 20% Grenache (aged in 2- to 3-year-old AM oak for 30 mos).

N: Almost creamy vanilla with berries & earth

P: LM, poss Med, body; NICE, almost swtish frt NICELY counterbalanced by tangy acidity which slowly, fairly seamlessly morphs into a very LONG, tangy/swt finish with notes of spice & occasional very, VERY fine tannins. SUPERB for now & very likely 5 or 6 yrs more. My VG+/EXC-; 95 pts Decanter [although it was 90 later on -- in their World Wine awards], 94 ea Suckling & Jamie Goode, 93 ea WA, Guia Penin, & Wine-Pages.com, 90 WS, & 17.5/20 Jancis Robinson. [Quite atypically, this vendor's $28.99 is in the bottom quartile of a MASSIVE wine-searcher field.]

Closing

Quite nice wines overall, though I thought the '08 Viña Ardanza [which I've now had thrice] was CLEARLY the pick of the litter.
