White
2011 Tement Sauvignon Blanc Grosse Lage STK Zieregg Austria, Styria, Südsteiermark
94 points
Super intense, lemon, kumquat, intense riesling like acidity and chardonnay type richness. Great stuff
White
2013 Tenuta dell'Ornellaia Bianco Toscana IGT Italy, Tuscany, Toscana IGT
95 points
Initially started out as a chardonnay lookalike and later on developed the typical Sauvignon Blanc notes. Very dense, rich and opulent

Flight 2 (3 notes)

Red
2009 Clos l'Église (Pomerol) France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Pomerol
93 points
Banana, Banago, opulent and warm. Started out great but after 1 hour of air shut down again, either pop-and-pour or wait for 6-8 years...
Red
2006 Le Macchiole Messorio Toscana IGT Italy, Tuscany, Toscana IGT
95 points
Banana, red bell peppers, herbs and a beautiful elegance. Great stuff!
Red
2006 Weingut Josef Pöckl Merlot Austria, Burgenland, Neusiedlersee
95 points
This smells like a liquid hommage to Parkers (in Dubai) Choco-Coffee Burger. Beetroot, chocolate, espresso. Awesome! There is also some licorice and herbs in the mix. Great wine!

Flight 3 (2 notes)

White - Sweet/Dessert
2013 Kollwentz Scheurebe Trockenbeerenauslese Austria, Niederösterreich
92 points
Melon, Mirabelle, peach, floral, peach, glue. Medium sweet, acidity level a tad low for this wine.
White - Sweet/Dessert
2010 Alois Kracher Grande Cuvée TBA #6 Nouvelle Vague Austria, Burgenland, Neusiedlersee
93 points
Much lighter and less sweet than what I would expect, black tea, orange, apricot. Light but still beautiful. I prefer the heavier style of Austrian Sweet Wines though
