Introduction
Last of Three Tastings of Roses for the summer
Flight 1 (12 notes)
Best of Flight was the Von Winning but the best values were the Lumieres and the Regaleali. On the whole all the wines were quite good.
Rosé
2018 Les Hauts Plateaux Alpes de Haute Provence
84 points
Very light slightly fruity nose, but generally bland, with acidity and slightly skin tannic course in the mouth. For under $10 drinkable but forgettable.
Rosé
2018 Domaine Le Clos Des Lumières Côtes du Rhône l'Eclat Rosé
87 points
Also under $10, nice fruit and texture, hint of tannin in finish but overall a nice lingering exit.
Rosé
2018 Clos La Coutale Cahors Rosé
84 points
Nice color and some fruit but the mouth is slightly soapy and there is a definite seed tannin bitter note. Not fatal but there are better wines,

Rosé
2018 Mas Champart Saint-Chinian Rosé
87 points
Nice clean rose, well balanced and easy drinking. Kinda middle of the road and at $16 I have other favorites, but chill this and pour it and I will join in gladly.
Rosé
2018 Tasca D'Almerita Sicilia Le Rose di Regaleali
90 points
Lovely rose with a wonderful finish. At $14 a great value. Has a touch of tannin but will go nicely with food.
Rosé
2018 Château de Trinquevedel Tavel
91 points
Substantial rose. Nice color, lots of character, nice finish. $17 and 13.5% alcohol
Rosé
2018 von Winning Pinot Noir Rosé
92 points
Have really like all the Austrian roses this year and this is the best of the group. Excellent acid, tons of flavors, great finish with a glorious flavor pop.
Rosé
2018 Castagnoli Rosato Toscana Toscana IGT
88 points
Full pink color, nice flavor and texture slight bitter note in finish. Good rose
Rosé
2018 Domaine Maestracci Vin de Corse Calvi E Prove
Not my type of rose, other in the tasting liked it but this does not appeal to me.
Rosé
2018 Moulin de la Roque Bandol Les Hauts du Vallon
89 points
Lush rose, long finish, big flavors. At $20+ pricey but this is a substantial wine.
Rosé
2018 Domaine d'E Croce (Yves Leccia) Rosé Cuvée YL
Not to my taste, others liked it. Sound but does not appeal to me.
