Introduction

3 bottles of Trapet GC, and 2 powerful bottles at the end. Nevertheless, we started with beautiful young BBM

Flight 1 (6 notes)

White
2016 Domaine de la Vougeraie Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru
93 points
Bottle breathe for 2 hours. Oaky nose with expressive white flower and citrus, high acidity and medium finishing. Still a young wine and I expect the complexity will evolve with ageing
Red
2007 Domaine Trapet Chambertin France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambertin Grand Cru
94 points
Bottled breathe for 3 hours. elegant nose with cherry and rose aroma. The tannic is integrated and silky. Medium to gentle body. Complex and medium finishing. Second preferred wine of the night
Red
2012 Domaine Trapet Chambertin France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambertin Grand Cru
95 points
Bottle breathe for 3 hours. Very punchy nose with perfume and bouquet with fruit, complex palate, full body and chewy. Still very young but enjoyable. Medium finishing. WOTN.

Interested to taste it again in a few years time.

Red
2010 Domaine Trapet Chapelle-Chambertin France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru

Bottle breathe for 3 hours. Intense aroma with flowers and red fruit. Siky and full body palate with sweetness all the way to finish. Great texture and long finishing. Less complex compared to 2012 Chambertin but still very good with loads of potential.
Red
2002 Faiveley Corton-Clos des Cortons Faiveley France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton Grand Cru
91 points
Bottle breathe for 3 hours. Elegant nose with violet and raspberry. Medium palate with note of fruit, branches and earth. Not very complex. Medium finishing. Drinking nicely now
Red
2015 Gaja Barbaresco Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barbaresco
92 points
Bottle breathe (with cork) for 20 hours. Very intense jammy fruit, blackberry. Palate with power expression and fruity. Long finishing. Not really fully open. I guess it's still a baby.
