Introduction
It has been a slog since before the holidays without a tasting. Have a good cellar but it is more interesting to taste with others.

2011 Friedrich-Wilhelm-Gymnasium Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Kabinett

Not overwhelming but quite nice. Mild lemony nose, good balance, mild sweetness, all the classic key flavor, structure and finish points just mildly stated. Nice

Not as many Kermit Wines but all were interesting and some worth cellaring

A big wine that needs time but it is definitely lovely and will be a jewel. As good or better than previous vintages.

Big juicy slightly chewy. All the depth, weight and balance. Very, very nice bought half a case.

Floral and slightly grassy, this is a classic tart fresh Picpoul. Low alcohol, crisp with light flavors a clean finish. Seashore wine.

They have gone to screw cap which is okay and reasonable. The wine however is too simple and lacks depth. Nice dry red but that is it, not that that is bad and it would work with a pizza but so would something many wines.

Not the most expressive Pinot, nice color, balance and weight. Fairly unadorned. Frankly I wanted it to be more than it was for $30, not that it wasn't nice but it was not nice enough. Pity

Big inky, inky red. Brutal tannins. A raw wine someone bottled. Like a block of Marble, there may be a statue in there but without a chisel you will never know.

2017 Domaine de la Charbonnière Vacqueyras
Solid Vacqueyras big round with all the spicy flavors very attractive and compelling. In the mouth all those flavors are there and then you swallow and it like you just had a shot of vodka. Not sure that will age out. Pass

Nice nose and color, but the tannin level is beyond chewy. Pass
