Interesting minerality. Pears, pineapple and sour apple. Not showing as well as it did at the winery last week.

Oxidation on the nose and palate. Over the hill.

Charred oak nose. Tastes of apples with ammonia. Spritzy with lots of minerality, Unpleasant finish.

Flowers, melon, grapefruit and apple. Expansive mid palate with good length but the finish is soft and abruptly short.

Corked

Pineapple, apple and caramel. Very mature fruit. Funky on the finish but interesting nonetheless.

Grapefruit, apples, earth and grass. Very Sauvignon Blanc like. Smooth finish with no hard edges.

Peach and lychee nut. Very floral. Full bodied and over extracted. Alcoholic and bitter on the finish.

Wax, peach, apple and lilies. Big wine with lots of extraction. A bit hot on the finish. Not very well balanced. I personally prefer the Viognier of the same vintage.

Corked

Apples, flowers, pineapple and peach. Has lots of toasted oak. Very full bodied. Powerful and rich on the finish.

Overwhelming french oak on the nose. Tastes of pears, apples and melon. Oak is better integrated on the palate. Nice depth and complexity.

Pear, hay and straw with noticeable sulfur. Rich finish but not terribly complex. There appears to be something special with this wine but it's quite closed down at this point in time.

Corked

Pear, caramel, orange zest, melon and lime. Nice mid palate depth. Elegant finish. Well integrated oak and balance.

Some oxidation on the nose but probably my fault since I double decanted it for 8 hours. Tastes of pears and apples. Nice richness but finishes with a touch of bitterness.

Floral nose. Tastes of pears and melons. Nice acidity and balance. Good depth and complexity. Always a fan of this bottling.

Pear, peach, flowers and lychee nut. A bit cloying. Some bitterness on the finish.

Apple, caramel, melon and pineapple. Bitter finish. Seem to show much better the last time I had it. Off bottle?

Well integrated oak. Pears. Bitter metallic finish. Not a fan. Again not the best showing of this wine compared to past examples. Off bottle?

Pear with lots of vanilla oak. Rich and concentrated. Soft finish with no hard edges. Way too oaky for my tastes.

From magnum. Pears and pineapple. Metallic, bitter finish.

From magnum. Caramel, butterscotch and plenty of charred oak. Rich and extracted. Some bitterness on the finish.

Beautiful french oak nose. Tastes of pears and melons. Incredible depth and complexity. Medium bodied. Exceptionally well balanced. A stunning wine.

Corked

Grapefruit, apple, lemon and melon. Well integrated oak. A bit lean on the mid palate. Closed down and not giving up much. Some bitterness on the finish. Needs time.

Beautiful floral nose. Tastes of apples, smoke and pears. Excellent balance and purity. Amazing complexity and richness on the finish. An amazing wine with a finish that lasts for minutes. Well done.

Honey, apricot, peach and pear. Rich and extracted. A bit cloying and tiring to drink.

Fresh floral nose. Tastes of honey, pear, soda and butterscotch. Interesting minerality. Rich. The sharp finish detracts from this wine for me.
