Flight 1 (6 notes)

Red
2009 Château Lassègue France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru
90 points
Medium ruby, but with significantly fading edges. Powerful fruits upon popping both on the nose and palate, but oxidised very quickly in the glass to give tart cherry fruits, on top of some grass and bell pepper, and paprika. Still pleasant mainly on the palate, but definitely a drink-now wine and no longer suitable for further ageing
Red
2010 Château Lassègue France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru
90 points
Deep ruby and a bit of orange fading on rim. Cassis, black plums, liquorice and black florals on the nose. Soft tannins, and full bodied, and plummy as well as a bit of pepper and greens. However it disappears very quickly at the back
Red
2012 Château Lassègue France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru
91 points
Medium ruby with a fading garnet rim. Greenish peppery on the nose with the blackberry quite subtle and fine. Soft and smooth, whilst somewhat lean, and even showing a bit of red cherry and smokes. Fairly long at the back, but somewhat straightforward
Red
2015 Château Lassègue France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru
93 points
Fairly deep ruby. Nose fairly subtle, of blackberry, black pepper and fern. Structured tannins, yet lots of fats and impressions of plums, vanilla, pepper and tar. Long and complex finish. Great!
Red
2016 Château Lassègue France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru
94 points
Deep ruby. Significantly smoky aromas with red and black plums, and rocket leaves. Mouthfilling, intense, and yet tannins quite smooth, with black plum, prunes, paprika, and tobacco leaves. Long and complex finish. Great wine!

Fairly deep ruby, and somewhat thick legs. Aromas of dark plums, vanilla, and a bit of mint. Some tannic bite but mainly smooth and fleshy, with flavours of dark plum, tar, and fern. Fairly long at the back, but seems sraightforward
