Introduction

The Wines of Chile explores the stylistic differences between Cabernet Sauvignon from Maipo and Colchagua, two regions identified with some of Chile’s best Cabs.

On the palate, it's medium-bodied with a wonderful mouthfeel very good acidity and supple tannins, with red currant, black cherry, plum vanilla, dark chocolate, and spice flavors nicely accented with savory notes and a very generous finish. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon planted at 2,300 feet. 14.5% abv| SRP - $45

Closing

The Maipo wines were garnet colored, while the Colchagua Cabs were ruby colored. I found the Maipo Cabs tended to be more red fruited and supple tannins, while the Colchagua Cabs with more black-fruited with velvety tannins
